The Mental Health Benefits of Hexagon Rugby
Many rugby players leave the game due to age, fitness or juggling other commitments at weekends.
Unfortunately this means they no-longer feel part of a team and enjoy the mental health benefits associated with regular exercise and mateship.
Hexagon Rugby will bring players back to the sport in a way that reduces the impact on their family/work lives and makes them feel part of the rugby community again.
Its also a great way to meet new people, pull on a rugby shirt, have a few drinks and relive our past glories - even if it is in slow motion!
As we age, we may struggle with our balance, strength, stamina and potentially weight too. This, in turn, may impact our confidence and self-esteem.
If you know someone who used to play and who has drifted away from the game due to other commitments - this is time to give them a call.
If notice one of your mates isn’t quite themselves, please ask them how they’re doing and refer them to one of the resources listed below.
If you notice, then ask.
Mental health benefits:

Specifically, it can boost personal reward and satisfaction, while also reducing stress.
Social benefits:
Community sport provides the possibility to get involved in something you can really enjoy while meeting new people, creating long-term relationships with like-minded others and boosting quality of life.
